Nov 26: Children of Destiny

We are not accidents. We are not blind travellers. We have a place and purpose in God’s plan. This is the message of the Bible. Regardless of our abilities, our failures or even our own plans we have been given a place in God’s plans to reveal His glory and establish His Kingdom. That is, as long as we are willing to put aside our agenda for His.

Are you willing to follow the leading of the Spirit today?

Nov 19: Substitutionary Grace

Yes, we know it’s not a real word but it does describe what happened. God has done everything we couldn’t do to make us acceptable to Him. Every price and every sin is paid for. Every inadequacy is covered. We can face Him without any shame or lack because of the Cross.

Listen as Ian Allen explores this truth and be assured and amazed at how every provision of Heaven has been given to us if we choose to walk in it.

Don’t forget to share with those who need this truth.

Nov 12: Cleaning The Temple

Ahaz gathered together the furnishings from the temple of God and cut them in pieces. He shut the doors of the Lord’s temple and set up altars at every street corner in Jerusalem. In every town in Judah he built high places to burn sacrifices to other gods and aroused the anger of the Lord, the God of his ancestors. (2 Chr 28: 24,25 NIV)

Oct 22: Be Holy as I Am Holy

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

1 Peter 1:15,16 NIV

The same voice that commanded creation says “Be Holy”. Is that a requirement or a declaration? Should we be trying to meet a standard or accepting a truth?

Oct 8: Conformed To His Image

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory,

are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory,

which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (2 Cor 3:18 NIV)

Who are you? How does God see you? Did you know that you are a work of art being made into an image of God by the Holy Spirit? However, a part of that work is that things that aren’t part of that goal need to be removed. This week Ian shares that we are to allow God to do His work as He makes us into reflections of Himself.

Oct 1: Why Do You Do What You Do?

Now Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith, put himself forward and said, “I will be king.” So he got chariots and horses ready, with fifty men to run ahead of him. (His father had never rebuked him by asking, “Why do you behave as you do?” He was also very handsome and was born next after Absalom.)1 Kings 1:5-6 NIV

Have you found in your life actions that you wish weren’t there but you have had as long as you remember? Often this comes from behaviours that have never been challenged and beliefs that were never questioned. God’s Spirit leads us to righteousness and His Word brings Godly discipline. In other words, He asks us “Why do you do what you do?”
